I have been wondering whether the Dutch experience is different too. Having been teaching here for over a decade now, I’ve only seen students become more engaged and their work becoming richer over time.

My students are amazing. Totally engaged critical thinkers wanting to make the world a better place.

I have to say while some of this resonates I really don’t recognise most of this from my experiences at a Dutch university.

Some students have always failed to read the syllabus, or follow instructions, that hasn’t changed, and of course AI impacts things but for the most part the kids are alright!
