If i was in a position again of hiring people, and someone brought their parent with them, I would immediately just call it there.

The only scenario I can think of which this isn't that stupid, is if said parent is literal friends with someone who owns another business, and is bringing them in to give them an interview to possibly hire them. But like, not in corporate setting.
