* Art is a hit π¨ β Overwhelmingly positive feedback on the art, which is huge for me as a programmer
So all in all, a very successful prototyping month! We're going to keep at it, continue to improve the game and launch more updates soon!
Check it out here - neonsheep.itch.io/sheep-protot...
* UI layout bugs β UI is a weak spot for me; some buttons going off-screen, layout issues
* Too stressful, not cosy β Game felt rushed/hard despite cosy intent; sheep too fast, needs decay too quick (mostly rebalanced now)
The Learnings/Feedback Themes
* Web launch issues β Focused testing on Mac β missed web-specific bugs (asset loading, pathfinding, sheep escaping π)
* Tutorial problems β Launched with no tutorial at first (oops), then still not clear enough β 13% completion says it all
The numbers:
* 117 browser plays out of 347 views = ~33% conversion rate - pretty good
* 13% tutorial completion funnel - yikes
* 65% sessions < 1 min, 35% > 1 min (up to 20 mins) - slightly yikes, but a decent number of long sessions
* 61 unique users and 21% feedback submission rate
30 days of testing and 117 plays, what did we learn in cosy sheep land?

Nice, never played with Unreal! Wow love your setup, do you play? I can't wait to get to that part of the game making π
Posted a screenshot of the cosy sheep game in progress on reddit and someone said they'd love to play it.
I don't know why but it really hit me, it's so validating to know that at least one person likes what I'm building.
No one talks about how scary and isolating #gamedev is

For a second I thought you were editing a trailer, but I think it's just Unity no?

Not quite ready to play but at least we have a screenshot.
Let me know your wild guesses of what the game is about, and of course any feedback on the art.

Thank you!
Thanks a lot! I'm still undecided but I haven't implemented anything functional related with the trees so I just didn't put them in the game yet, I have more time to think π
Working on the water tileset today. Big fan of how the cute 3px ducks turned out π

Thanks a lot!
Experimenting with tree shapes, which one is your favourite?
Color scheme needs to change, the green doesn't go with the rest of the pallette.

Oh I see, yes making a board gameyou have more real world challenges like materials and quality of pieces, etc. That's pretty cool though best of luck!
One of my favourite board games is the Exit series, I was surprised to learn it's made by a couple, started as a hobby, I guess it's doable
My thought process: the one on the left is cute but it looks more like a goat than a sheep, the middle is too chunky and the right is just perfect in terms of dimensions. I had to add a colour to the palette which I'm trying to keep a bit limited, but I'm pretty happy with it.
