That's the headline they should have used.
Can I be honest about something?
The zombieland celebration thing Cam Ward and other do looks dumb as hell. It looks so dumb, in fact, that I have to question if I'm just too old because get it off my damn lawn!
All three players in the photos have different pads. Was definitely intentional for the photos, at least.
Wait wait wait.
Why the hell do the new Titans uniforms have individualized thigh pads? Did I miss discussion on this? Simmon's has "Big Jeff" written on his thigh pads?
I'm gonna have to go on record and say that's goofy.
Sadly, a look at their history suggests they were.
By God.
This morning, I spent a bit of time trying to decide how they might repurpose / renew "Luv Ya Blue" and I legit came away with nothing.
Feels like they either just use that as-is or skip it. And I imagine it's a skip.
Oilers uniforms are some of the best in league history.
Take what your franchise did well and refresh it slightly for new branding = win.
It is. Though, sadly, just one drop in a sea of atrocities that have and will occur.
Am I a milquetoast, white, middle class 40 or 50 something aged male? Yes.
So I rather like Dave Matthews Band. Sue me.
I think we'll be returning to Dave Matthews Band for the next mid-month mini podcast episode. So here's a question for anyone who's a fan:
If you could only have disc one or disc two of Live at Luthor College, which disc are you taking? The other ceases to exist for all time.
The flaming thumbtack is dead and the Titans finally brought back one of the best uniforms in league history.
Who knows if yet another promising HC hire will succeed in the long term or if the newest great hope at QB will fulfill his potential ... but things are finally looking up.
Quite an upgrade
Good to know.
Event looked fun.
Oh, you're right!
Weird that the franchise gets to iterate on their own jerseys and wear them again.
Simple >>>
... through they're approaching the edge of too simple.
Oilers uniforms are some of the best ever. Tennessee going back to the franchise roots with their new uniforms is good. The new logo is a huge improvement. It's actively good, tbh, and works in many ways (I've seen mock-ups as a shield).
The strings on helmet, arms and legs is ... meh.
The Titans are the Oilers. People are gonna have to give up the denial at some point.
I think the Titans are bringing back very Houston oilers reminiscent uniforms and I am here for it.
I understand the visceral reaction to Timothy Chalamet's comments about Opera and ballet. He expressed his point in a brusque and dismissive way.
But his point is perfectly valid and accurate.
And I suppose that makes it hurt even more.
I'll keep you updated on this soon-to-be best seller as it unfolds.
The teacher has since taken care of the issue and Ratfael is no more ... but my son is now writing a story about Ratfael and what happened after it died (some sort of rebirth into the wild, as far as the early pages seem to indicate).
My son's science class (7th grade) has a pet snake. On Friday, they put a mouse in with it (food). On Monday, the mouse was still alive.
My son decided it must be a ninja (turtle), so he named it Ratfael.
The US has to fight to win basketball tournaments. They apparently aren't a baseball gimmie either.
But they'll always be dominant in tackle football. The world values the health of the human brain too much to compete there.
It's not unlike the famous saying about how uninformed people are confident whereas intelligent and informed people are led to caution because they know how uncertain things really are.
But I admit that I had always thought a better understanding would lead to better writing and I no longer thing that's necessarily true. It can be true. It can also be true that understanding something more only leads to more questions That served to add restrictive layers of complexity.
I don't think you have to necessarily understand how people think, at least not at a deep level, to write about it. You can have a general understanding of the perspective and then cement it and anchor it within your characters own particular views. The specific reasons we believe things are varied.
I didn't care until I saw this.
Long story short:
Yeah, you're right.
