Particle-associated N2 fixation by heterotrophic bacteria in the global ocean Heterotrophic bacteria fix N2 in more diverse environments than previously thought, critical for the oceanic nitrogen cycle.

We usually think of photosynthetic bacteria as the main N2 fixers in the world's oceans . Using a mechanistic model we estimate that heterotrophic bacteria are responsible for 10% of the global N2 fixation. And it also occurs temperate waters. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Jeg kan konstatere, at der er andre fagfolk i Sverige som er nået frem til samme konklusion som DTU Aqua.
HaV lukker fiskeriet efter stenbider (aka sjurygg) i alle svenske farvande fra 15. marts of frem.

DTU Aqua sammen med Danmarks Fiskeriforening igangsat et forsøgsfiskeri.

'Fis, parodi og katastrofe': Fiskeriformænd revser nyt forbud Stenbiderfiskeriet bliver midlertidigt sat på pause, og grundlaget for den beslutning er 'en omgang fis' ifølge fiskeriforening.

Desværre er holdninger i en del af fiskeriet styret af politik og tillid i lokalforeningerne, som er meget tæt knyttet til de lokale forhold. Fiskeriformænd der har overblikket bør have et større udsyn og læne sig op af forskning, ikke modarbejde det!
