Nonetheless, the story gave me exactly what I was looking for: a light and sweet romance between two adult women (early and late 20s), something I don’t come across often in the world of yuri manga!

But the main reason I can’t give this book more than three stars is the uncomfortable incestuous relationship between the half-sisters, Ashima and Sakura, which really didn’t and will never sit well with me.
As for the secondary characters, I thought that Ashima’s story arc was pretty good. But while Touko, the antagonist, was certainly effective in being annoying, I found her character’s actions to be underexplained, which made her “redemption” hard for me to accept.
I really enjoyed the romance between the two protagonists, Rin and Mayumi—their relationship felt sweet and genuine! But a lot of the charm in this book comes from the adorable three-year-old, Hinata-chan (plus the extra dose of cuteness provided by the cat living in the villa)!
I suddenly found myself back to reading yuri manga series—not that I’m complaining. 🤭 After rereading one of my favorite yuri series, ‘Kase-san and Yamada,’ I just finished reading ‘Days of Love at Seagull Villa,’ a completed three-volume series, for the first time.
