Recovering from my bad dream (and feeling vaguely gross all day) by finishing an edit early getting comfy on the couch with a snuggly dog on my lap.

I had an upsetting nightmare but managed to get back to sleep…only to have a second nightmare that continued the same scenario. Thanks, brain, I wanted to be unsettled all day.

As far as the pets are concerned, I am The Lap in this house, and that’s just how I like it. I’m celebrating the cooling weather, when I’m suddenly extremely popular.

This is why I don’t play many games, haha.

Can attest that this book (which I edited) is so lovely and so relatable. Seriously, it’s probably the most realistic Famous Person/Nonfamous Person romance I’ve ever worked on, which made it even more enjoyable.

I take out our elderly neighbor’s trash cans for her and I forgot ONE week because I was sick (I apologized and explained the situation after the fact). Now she’s made it her part-time job to micromanage my role as voluntary garbage person, illnesses be damned.

I follow on IG and might have to go back and read prior ones.

Second visit: five nurses, six sticks, zero infusions.

Third visit: one nurse, one stick, one infusion.

Back at the infusion center and a single nurse got the job done in one go this time. 🙏🏻

I’m so grateful to have a roommate who indulges me when I say stuff like, “Okay, here’s what I’d hypothetically order if we were at a Marie Callender’s.”

If it means I don’t have to hear their screaming outdoor work calls anymore, I’ll take it.

Our most annoying neighbors moved in the most in-character way possible: by parking an obnoxiously huge moving truck in the middle of the street and then DRIVING THE ACTUAL CAB AWAY so it could not be forced to relocate. On trash day, no less.

My cat was deeply into my extended lie-down.

What a beautiful Saturday to feel bad for no actual reason.

Be that person who calls your elected's office. I can't tell you how often people DON'T call, especially if you're a Dem, and your elected is a Dem.

This sometimes turns into a situation where a few calls, especially in local gov, can move the needle.

I knew he was a jerk but not this kind of a jerk. I wish him the worst!
