It is sad that "Gulf of Mexico" isn't mentioned once by the government employees in the video, and there are only a few references to "the Gulf" at the end. Might they be referring to the Persian Gulf or has that been renamed as well. Hidden Gulf, indeed.

‘A Misguided Sledgehammer to the Clean Air Act’: Cornell Professors on Trump’s Repeal of Major Greenhouse Gas Regulatory Policy The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency officially rescinded the 2009 Greenhouse Gas Endangerment Finding on Feb. 12, which regulated vehicle emissions. Iran's FM condemns US attack on Qeshm's freshwater desalination plant, warns of grave consequences US President Donald Trump announced that Iran promised not to attack its neighbours anymore

Multiple news outlets are reporting a US attack on an Iranian #desalination plant.
If verified, this violates international law protecting #water systems during wars, and it sets a dangerous precedent, given intense dependence of Gulf countries on desalination.

Price of Crude Oil WTI (USD/Bbl) over a five-year period, spanning from 2021 to early 2026. The chart shows a significant price peak in 2022 reaching over $120, followed by a general downward trend with various fluctuations, eventually hitting a low near $55 in late 2025 before a sharp vertical spike to the current price of 90.900. This recent surge represents an increase of +23.880 (+35.63%), highlighted in green text above the blue line graph.

The real insanity isn’t how much oil prices have spiked, it’s that we’re still burning oil for energy.

Nature Report, Killed by Trump, Is Released Independently

Scientists and other experts were preparing an assessment of the health of nature in the US when Trump returned to the White House. He canceled the report. The researchers went ahead and compiled it on their own. This week, they released a 868-p draft for public comment and scientific review.

Bob Marshall: Greenhouse gas reversal is ominous for south Louisiana The Trump administration’s rollback of a scientific finding that served as the backbone for federal climate change policy is terrible news for Louisiana, columnist Bob Marshall writes.

An existential problem for coastal Louisiana. Even the oil and gas companies didn't want EPA to rescind the finding that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health and well being.

This rise in domestic prices has occurred despite the record setting growth in U.S. production of natural gas. The Increase during ramp-up of LNG exports was attributable solely to Permian and Haynesville Basins, those that supply the Gulf Coast expert terminals.

LNG exports grew dramatically as Gulf Coast terminals came online and will increase further as two more terminals (one at the TX-LA border and another on the Mississippi below New Orleans) come online.

LNG export terminals have burgeoned on the Gulf Coast, especially Louisiana, aggressively pushed by political and business leaders. Increased exports drove up domestic natural gas prices, greatly impacting Louisiana consumers.

The Trump EPA’s Endangerment Finding Repeal: Wrong on Statute, Deceptive on Science, Reckless on Impacts On February 12, the Trump Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized its repeal of the Endangerment Finding, which establishes EPA’s statutory obligation to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. Alongside, EPA also repealed the associated vehicle greenhouse gas emissions standards. This action
