All the best for 2025
My first 3 years as a TTF we're filled with grant rejections, including an MRC NIRG that I was devastated about. It's similar for many others, just not talked about as openly as the successes. Resilience is important in research. When you get that first break you can start to build some momentum.
...and we're hosting the British Toxicology Society annual meeting here in May, if you can make it. Details here: www.thebts.org/events/bts-a...
Sounds great. You should visit us in Liverpool when you're settled in Cambridge. Lots of folks here interested in drug and chemical toxicity. I'm sure they'd be interested to hear about your work.
As a recent recipient of this funding, I can highly recommend it as a means of broadening experiences and networks to support current and future research.
Have you heard about TherEx, #LivUni's Centre for Experimental Therapeutics?
The TherEx mission is to improve health and wellbeing by optimising the use of existing drugs and accelerating the development of new treatments.
Making medicines better.
