Ready for what? No money, no ground work, no visibility, no experience. I am disappointed by these results. I have seen this before. My bet is he will not show up to do the hard work to win. Ernest was the right person to vote for. Dedicated, hard working, committed. I am disappointed.

Here in Texas we didn’t leave any state or US seat uncontested. And we just had an incredible turn out outvoting the republicans in the primaries. If Texas can do it you can too!

No because they are at least 100 feet from the entrance to the polling location. I talked with the Secretary of state help line and they cannot anything if it’s not inside the 100 feet.

Graph showing the turn out in denton county day by day during early voting

Today early voting ended in Denton County with more than 25,000 voters casting their ballots almost equally split between democrats and republicans.
Early voting final numbers:
Democrats, 55,941 votes
Republicans, 59,365 votes.
This turn out for a primary is unprecedented.

This is what voting looks like in Texas. This is my polling location. I am precinct chair. When I block walk these are the people who may open their doors. But Texas Democrats are tough and we will not be intimidated.

Yard sign saying “ keep sharia out of texas. Vote yes on proposition 10”
Paid by the Denton republican party

Texans can be so hateful. This sign is not far from my house and I see it every day.
It refers to a proposition on the republican primary ballot against sharia law. The usual islamophobic nonsense.

Thanks for mentioning our Denton County party chair @deliaparkermims.bsky.social . She is doing an amazing job as our chair. We outvoted the republicans for two days in a row. We are block walking everyday to cover all precincts including the ones without precinct chairs!

Graphs showing voting trends in Denton county primaries

Good news: TexasVAN is now showing who voted in the current primaries, not those who voted last November. After block walking in my precinct I adopted a second one and I am almost done. I poll greeted on Saturday and voted on Sunday.
Plus Democrats have outvoted republicans for two days in a row!

Beto comes to Denton quite regularly so we are spoiled! Once primaries are over you should come north for a visit!

First they should reset MiniVan. We still have the Voted icon for people who voted in November. This is NOT helpful! I complained with the TDP leadership but they have not fixed the issue yet!

Talarico did release his report recently. My understanding is that they have to release a report 12 days before the election. Why don’t you support transparency from candidates? FEC reports must be complete if the candidates don’t want to risk fines.

Sorry to be the grammar police but as a non-native speaker I am kind of obsessed with spelling!

I am talking about the FEC database. Actually when I searched the FEC database for Crockett’s senate race the data ends with the end of 2025. The campaign has not filed for the last two months. It is mandatory for campaigns to release their financial statements.

Talarico is running a grassroots campaign in Texas. He has field organizers, has recruited volunteers and has been holding block walks for months. He has strong fundraising numbers. He engages with votes and supporters. Crockett’s campaign is far behind. And why didn’t she release her FEC reports?

I went to three events with Talarico and he does speak about his faith. But more as something that inspires and sustains him. He definitely is for separation of church and state, he was against the 10 commandments in schools, he talks against Christian Nationalism. I am an atheist and I support him.

Students attending a memorial for the closing of an art exhibit at UNT Protesters holding signs that say “art is meant to challenge not disappear” and “thousands in tuition zero explanation “ Memorial with a Mexican flag, candles and flowers
My white rose as I added it to the memorial

Some photos I took today at the memorial for the killing of the art exhibit Ni de aquí ne de allá by artist Victor Marka27 Quiñones. The event was organized by the art students in front of the CVAD where the exhibit was supposed to run until May. Read my other posts for the story behind this.

A billboard announcing a memorial for the closing of an exhibit at the University of North Texas.

If you live in Denton plan to attend this memorial tomorrow morning in the CVAD courtyard on the University of North Texas campus.

Same. We visited those areas twice. Beautiful, remote and extremely safe. There is no need for a wall.
