my first try at a @pixeldailies.bsky.social prompt!! I struggled a bit with this Buneary but I learned a lot about patience along the way 😼

New weekly challenge has begun! This week's word is Poké Ball! Draw a poké ball (any kind) sprite and post using hashtag #weeklypixels

4/4 Duplicating Planes. Little more complex! Instead of using the X for division, we use the midpoint to find the middle of the edge we wanna duplicate from. Then we draw a line from the corner, through this new point until it intersects the extended far edge, and complete it.

3/4 Dividing Cylinders. We can apply the same technique as before but we use the midpoint to find the middle ellipse where it touches this point. Notice how the more foreshortened the cylinder, the less we see of the second half.

2/4 Ellipses. Most important is the minor (shortest) axis, as that will point towards a point at the horizon line. Minor axis divides the ellipse into two symmetrical halves.

The width of the ellipse is important, as the closer we get to horizon, the narrower the ellipse!

Four important Art Fundamental concepts you likely avoided learning!

1/4 Dividing planes. All it takes to correctly divide a plane is an X from corner to corner and use the midpoint and run the dividing line through that. And can easily extend the line around and form boxes.
