Trying to prepare for WonderCon on March 27-29. Debating if I should have a small sample of the new comic I've been working on or focus on making other artwork and stickers for the booth?
For those interested in visiting my booth, I will be at E-28 in Artist Alley.
I'm doing a sci-fi comic where one character has a symbiotic relationship with another alien. But trying to figure out how to best do the word bubbles to show who is speaking out of the one body.
Anyone have any suggestions? Or comic book examples I should check out to maybe be inspired by?
I have yet to fully fill a sketchbook because I keep getting shiny new sketchbooks. You are a better person than I to even try finishing a sketchbook. I salute you. 🙂

I've been researching the old darker story comics I've read that would have used Ben Day Dots for coloring. In my memory these comics were also dark in color, but I was so wrong. They are bright & colorful even though the story is dark.

I caught my husband's cold, and so there won't be a Zombie Ranch update this week. Sorry to those that read our comic.
I want to make a silly video, but need record my voice. Problem is that my home is small and every noise my husband or cat makes the mic picks up. Don't want to wait till everyone is asleep because I don't want to be too noisy. I need to find that golden hour, but for recording voice audio.

Because we're going to San Diego Comic-Con next week, we decided to post an early Zombie Ranch comic for y'all.
For anyone going to SDCC, we'll be at booth N07 in Small Press. We will have Volumes 1&2 and will have the issues after the first two volumes at the table.
I ended u drawing this last night. Thinking of wanting to make it a sticker for our San Diego Comic Con booth. Though debating if I should make a sticker sheet of Cymerpunks? Or if it should be individual stickers?

Now the real reason I've been drawing my player's characters. To make stick puppet recap theater. We play once a month at best and every time we come back to the game, my players forget what they did last.
For this, I wanted to test the stick wiggle.
Next I'm drawing some NPCs.

What I have so far for my 6 Traveller players and the robot the Orca controls.
I'm waiting on two players to give me their character descriptions still. But from the 2 games we played so far, one is a Zhodani Indiana Jones and the other is a party girl duchess. So I drew a hat and martini for now.

That's what I do and prefer to do, but know that its not a great method if you want to gain new viewers. Best way to get new viewers still seems to be conventions, but don't know if I can keep affording to do that after that chaos of 2025.

I should be finish artwork for the San Diego Comic Con Art Show, but after the stress of the fires in January and family worrying about being kidnapped, I find I just want to draw my player's Traveller: PoD PCs. Need to add some things to the Orca, draw 3 other PCs, and the robot the Orca manages.
Just watched a video essay asking why Tori Amos never became a hit.
I became a Tori fan in the 90s with Little Earthquakes and even to this day I habitually hide that fact. Had a lot of people around me making fun of Tori fans. Wonder how much of a factor that had?
We had to cancel going to the Pasadena Comic Con. Sorry.
