Today I hosted an awards for volunteers. Over 400 of them in the room aged 10 to 86. Stories of inspiration. People who think helping others is a given and not a chore.

In a world that seems to be brimming with hate & anger it’s nice to be reminded that there are many people who do care for others

Ive had a bit of IBS and my diary points towards days I’ve had beans, lentils, kidney beans etc so I’m laying off them for a bit.

I didn’t choose beans because I’m not allowed pulses at the moment otherwise they may have gotten on but I do like a hash brown. I adore tinned toms too.

Apparently the BBC building in Salford has a cafe that does a 12 item breakfast for £8.
