Defense secretary openly states that a pro-Trump billionaire taking over a news network (following regulatory help from the administration) will result in coverage more favorable for the administration.

Someone should ask Mayor Mamdani at his press conference if he intends to direct H+H to absorb the trans youth patients from NYU Langone and other regional hospitals that illegally ended care, and if he plans to hold them accountable with NYC’s human rights ordinances.

He still has no comment.

If the government really is worried about Iranian sleeper cells, then it was probably a mistake to systematically reorient the majority of US counterterror resources toward arresting immigrant grandmothers and five-year-olds in bunny hats

Cover of Firefly Unification War Vol 1 drawn by Lee Garbet. BANNED IN ALBERTA in big red letters has been slapped over the image.

In case you missed it, my FIREFLY books got banned in Alberta for "explicit sexual images" that... they don't actually contain?

Dark money group offers influencers $1,500 for posts attacking Chicago Democratic primary candidate Progressive House candidate Kat Abughazaleh told MS NOW the secretive campaign is “filled with false and defamatory claims.”

All this week I've written about how here in IL, dark money and MAGA aligned PACs are spending absurd sums of money to prop up establishment corporate Dems while attacking progressive Dems who are actually willing to fight.

MSNOW has the scoop on just how deep this goes:

No book is going to turn kids into someone else. But books will regularly show kids other people like them and show those kids they're not alone. And they'll show kids other types of people who also exist. There is a large proportion of the population who are terrified of this.

a crudely drawn man sitting in conversation with another crudely drawn man, like on a talkshow or something, says "what's the secret to my success?
Every night before I go to sleep i take off all my clothes and put a ball gag in my mouth and cover myself in mud and write 'piggy' on my face so if i die in my sleep they'll think I died doing something more interesting."

U.S. Plan to Unblock Strait of Hormuz Collides With Realities of Global Insurance The U.S.-centric insurance idea runs counter to the realities of an international market, according to industry executives.

"U.S. officials called London insurers and brokers, trying to figure out how the market operates, industry insiders said."

When applied to the current administration, I urge caution in using terms like "plans," "strategy," "policy," or "doctrine."

Someone looking at a gravestone says "I miss you dad. I wish I got more time with you."

The ground around the grave begins to shift. "Oh my god" says the speaker.

A hand emerges from the dirt.

A thin, bald man with a long protuberance of a nose, soaking wet, pulls himself from the dirt proclaiming "why yes, it is I, Wet Nude Steve. You've caught me while I've been out tunneling around, experiencing worm pleasures. One of my naughtiest indulgences.
Perhaps you would like to explore with me?"

I Miss You Dad

Virginia has a data center boon. Officials debate whether it's time to scrap its tax breaks Over the past 18 years, Virginia became the world's largest data hub. The debate taking place there comes as dozens of communities nationwide are fighting data centers in local zoning meetings.

Amid a growing national pushback on data centers, Virginia senators have voted to end a projected $1.6 billion annual tax break, requiring the industry to resume paying a minimum 5.3% sales tax.

An open letter to Grammarly and other plagiarists, thieves and slop merchants To everyone at Grammarly, I am writing a book right now, a really challenging endeavor that no doubt someone in Silicon Valley will think it’s fine to steal the day it’s published. I’ve been a profes...

I just heard about it recently, and absolutely lost my temper hugely when I found out they'd stolen my rep/identity! If there is a class action lawsuit -- I hope -- I will post about it and I hope many of us leave a smoking crater where these smug thieves used to be www.moryan.com/an-open-lett...
