Japan moving towards Horizon Europe association Japan is edging closer to signing off on a deal to join the EU’s €93.5 billion Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, with research Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva flying to the country…

Japan is edging closer to joining #HorizonEurope, with formal talks underway since late 2024. Both sides hope to seal the deal soon, but questions remain over how cooperation on sensitive areas will work beyond 2028.
