El diseño de una ciudad afecta la posibilidad de los chicos y chicas de contar con espacios de entretenimiento, donde puedan socializar y relacionarse. Una ciudad dedicada solo a espacios para vehículos o sin espacios públicos, no es una ciudad funcional para la niñez.

Former highway along the Seine now filled with people, art etc.
The bank of the Seine in Paris used to be space for cars. Now for several years it’s been a special place for people in a city making more & more of them. All it took was leadership. This iconic Fabian Todorovic cartoon is still one of the best I’ve seen at illustrating the remarkable amount of space we surrender to cars, leaving little space left for everyone and everything else. The text added later makes the bonus point that many drivers still manage to complain about it.
