It's not fool-proof because some people are primarily lurkers but I tend to look at people's posts and replies. If everything is very generic and low-effort, especially only 1 word replies, it's an indication. Not using alt text can also be an indication sometimes (it's harder to automate, I guess)

Yeah, I really enjoy Krita. Their brush engine is really good too. I use it quite often (depending on what style I want to draw in)

Ah, I know GIMP. I tried using it for a while for drawing but I gave up on it. It's been many years so I don't recall what the problem was exactly but I remember being dissatisfied with the brushes in particular

What program are you using? I usually have the opposite problem, as in I can't get the brushes big enough (but that's an intentional restriction by the devs due to memory)

That really depends on the app/program you're using. But in general, if you draw on a very large canvas, the size of your brush will automatically become smaller. Like, a 1px brush is much larger on a 100x100 canvas than on a 5000x5000 canvas for example

Honestly, that sounds like a glitch. I've heard that people also got album mission cards from games and such so I think the site is really going through it at the moment

I think it's more of a combination of it being Saturday and people being overwhelmed by the news. I had chores to do anyway so I did those right away so I wouldn't even be tempted into doom scrolling
