to propel myself forward with this foreign fuel for my creativity has been difficult. it'll be cool to draw left-handed, like i do for many activities these days, from now on and re-learn how to draw from the beginning to create new muscle memories.

i'm been making art for the wrong reasons. i thought i was expressing myself, feeling heard, and being such a rebel but all along i was still trying to be seen by an invisible audience

part of my low motivation in making art is also that i no longer believe it is as worthy of a pursuit. the act of making feelings and thoughts aesthetically pleasing feels like an attempt to make my imperfections palatable in order to be loved and people please.

but man is it hard to work with right now, mostly because the cord is like a foot. The texture of the lines it makes is still so much better than huion.

I'm using an intuos pen small ctl 480 right now, the tablet that I made my portfolio that got me into animation industry and I'm proud of that.

But I became disabled with my R arm fked within 2ishyrs of"making it"in the industry.The worst part wasn't just the pain but about the life I could've had, but the road not taken wasn't all rainbows and sunshine. I want to quote Catriona's post it's things I also want to say but she did it better.

from creating a show of the decade and I'm just like, oh yeah, I forgot that animation industry is a dead end career and when I was still working there I knew I would want to quit eventually to have the freedom of creating my own shows or books after having some financial stability.

I just saw the post by the creator/art director of Bluey Catriona Drummond, a show with 2 billion in revenue, and her being paid 88k after a decade of studio experience, that it feels pretty shitty despite "making it" as an artist in THE industry, and "making it" in the industry

I haven’t drawn in like a week or more again but I was having so much fun photoshopping my own photos, feels kinda un-artist of me to not be drawing every pixel on the screen when I was doing that.
