Bournemouth's 'cathedral choir'. A modern choral foundation for boys, girls and adults in the heart of the busy Bournemouth Town Centre Parish.
Merry Christmas everyone!

...to help them develop independently, as well as to balance the gaps if a family is away. Some combinations of singing voices work better than others. Some focus better when they're under the nose of the director. And there are always certain 'chatty' combinations to avoid. 3/5
03.12.2024 21:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is more complicated than you'd think. Inexperienced probationers need to be placed next to senior choristers who will help and guide them. Experienced choristers need to go at the ends of the lines to lead in procession. Siblings normally go on opposite sides... 2/5
03.12.2024 21:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One of the specific challenges of running a voluntary trebles' choir is that the line-up can change quite often as choristers join, progress, and leave. This means that the seating plan has to be re-thought from time to time. 1/5

28.11.2024 12:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you Gabrieli Consort for a great day of music-making yesterday! And thank you to Portsmouth Cathedral and David Price for hosting it and making us so welcome.
If you get the chance to be involved with a Gabrieli #ROAR project, grab it with both hands. Paul McCreesh is a man on a mission π΅
Our senior choristers are at Portsmouth Cathedral taking part in Gabrieli Roar concert tonight. Afternoon rehearsals in progress under the baton of the inspirational Paul McCreesh. Energetic Christmas music in the West Gallery tradition with period instruments π

25.11.2024 07:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Tomorrow's music at St. Peter's for the Feast of Christ the King. The services will be led by our new priest-in-charge, Nick Jepson-Biddle.
Next week, we enter the new church year on Advent Sunday, including our Advent Carol Service of Darkness to Light at 4.00pm.
It was our privilege and joy to sing for the Licensing of our new Priest-in-Charge, Nick Jepson-Biddle, on Thursday evening.
The introit was written by David Price for the occasion, and we were joined by a brass ensemble to sing Stanford's Te Deum in B flat as the anthem.
