I feel like this week has extra days in it and this has been a long week. I’m going to order wings and cookies. That will last me through yet another winter warning weekend.

Slept in, walked 2 miles, had a vibration plate session and made a late breakfast. Organized my nail polish area and opened a few packages that were delivered this week. About to braid and band my locs to wash in the shower and then will hop back into bed to binge on Hostage until dinner.
Seriously thinking of hoping on a plane to LA to see Jill Scott at the end of the month… my impatient behind should wait until tour news comes but… impatient.

HIS & HERS on Netflix was good! I binged on thr first 5 episodes and save the last for last night and it was great. Dahlonega is like an hour from me and I expected to see more winery scenes.

I think after taking almost a year off of my genealogy research and canceling my Ancestry membership, I need to sign back up again. Now is the perfect time to go down rabbit holes that are beneficial to me or a hobby. Distractions will be good!
I tried to find joy in having goals like finishing my reading list, seeing all 50 states, and walking every day to help with my feelings about this country last year. I need more this year because we are 8 days in and I just can’t with all these events and situations.
I picked up a new prescription and paid the lowest amount I have ever paid for a prescription (besides free I guess). Paid $.45.
I came home to find ALL of my smoke detectors going off. I just wanted to get back in my car and leave until someone else’s handled it. No one else since that someone is still me. No clue how long that was going on either.
Today is the 7th of January. 2026 is a lot in these 7 days.
Being American in this country, with this Administration and his cult is exhausting.

Most of the days I had off the last 3 weeks, I slept good and at least 6-7 hours most nights, even 9 hours some other nights. Like clock work, Sunday night I slept maybe 3 hours. Last night I slept 4. Work is not good for my health.
Finally starting “All Her Fault”… late I know. Only completed one episode so interesting to see how this goes..
This might be a rough month for those that are purposely doing dry January. I mean I know plenty of folks who do it by accident but we are day 5 into the new year and we all may need daily sips.
So those oil countries our dictator is trying to invade, I am assuming he will be attempting this in the first quarter right? I have travel plans later this year and would like to be able to leave America. But then only a hand full of countries will let us in.
When you slim down and can no longer fit any of your winter clothes and your job wants you to visit the office more in 2026. Mean shopping but outside is really cold to me and dressing like I live in Alaska is frowned upon. Not a horrible problem to have but a problem. I guess I will wear jeans.

I set a goal to read (listen) to books last year and exceed it. Did the same this but struggled. I have 2 hours of listening left to hit my goal. I selected some short stories this month so I would hit my goal. Until last year, I just didn’t have the focus to read like no did 10 years ago.
Last flight of the year done. Rest until back to work next Monday.
If I wasn’t having a procedure this week, I’d be back in the air and landing on a warm beach to celebrate the new year.
Because even on a plane, I will watch one of my favorite Christmas movies from my childhood. Next is Elf.
It is very people-y outside.
I have a lot of returns to take back… SMH. That is a next week task.
