This latest image of Jupiter, taken by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope on 25 August 2020, was captured when the planet was 653 million kilometres from Earth. Hubble’s sharp view is giving researchers an updated weather report on the monster planet’s turbulent atmosphere, including a remarkable new storm brewing, and a cousin of the Great Red Spot changing colour — again. 🔭 We're closely monitoring the recently discovered asteroid #2024YR4. The #asteroid has an almost 99% chance of safely passing Earth in 2032, but a possible impact cannot yet be entirely ruled out. 2024 YR4 is estimated to be between 40 m and 100 m wide.

:) The bright star on the right is Saturn, Comet ATLAS in the middle and above the tree, the small fuzzy object is the Small Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy to our own Milky Way galaxy.
