What is political now and what the correct fight against Republicans needs to be vis-a-vis the Kerrville Floods is a direct retaliation to the funding cuts to FEMA, NCRS, grant funding and other disaster relief programs. Lack of funds and access will kill the community.

I'm tired of the discourse around the politics of the victims and honestly even local emergency response. The way many left-wing netizens have left a bad taste in my mouth. No tact. No empathy. You have no experience with a natural disaster of this magnitude and it is apparent.

The river rose nearly 30 feet in less than an hour. At 4 AM. In my flood in 2022, it rose 22 ft in 2 hours, also at 4 am. I was dead to the world asleep at 4 AM. I'm sure the people of Kerrville were too. It would have a tragedy regardless. It was a natural disaster, plain and simple.

Of course, cuts to NOAA, meteorology, and climate scientists affected the warnings, evacuation and day-off emergency response to the flood. There is no denying that. It might have prevented the scale of casualties of the flood. It still would have been a tragedy anyways.

I hate the Trump Administration too. I did not vote Red ever. I believe Trump is destroying this country. Yet if you are victim blaming innocent people and children with your assumed notions of what their politics are, you are playing directly into want the current admin wants: the people divided
