You might’ve heard farms are suffering because of the Hormuz blockade’s impact on fertilizer shipments. The Suez is also major conduit for fertilizer.

They are now refusing to state the number of American casualties in the Iran war. When regimes do this, it is a HUGE RED FLAG.

✋ Former USG war crimes lawyer here.

Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning:

Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime.

And recognized as such by the US Government.

From DoD's Manual for Military Commissions.

Most California voters support the state’s newly proposed billionaire tax, according to new polling.

Meanwhile, rich Californians are plotting a $500M slush fund to influence the state's politics.

So they can't afford a wealth tax, but they'll spend a fortune buying elections?

See the problem...

Dark money group offers influencers $1,500 for posts attacking Chicago Democratic primary candidate Progressive House candidate Kat Abughazaleh told MS NOW the secretive campaign is “filled with false and defamatory claims.”

HOLY SHIT.

A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election.

Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?

When I watch tv shows from the 60’s and 70’s, the air quality is stupifyingly bad. When I look out over my town in CO, I’m amazed at the impact of EV’s and emissions control. The air is MUCH better, despite 150,000 + more people living here.

Video appears to show U.S. cruise missile striking Iranian school compound The seven-second video was released by Iranian state media and directly contradicts statements made by President Trump, who said Iran was responsible for the strike.

This doesn't prove the pieces were found at the site of the school.

We know of at least one other Tomahawk missile hit nearby, and it wouldn't take much move the parts to the school.

Still it's interesting the Iranians are providing the extra context for verification.

The close shots show that these parts were built by American contractors including Ball Aerospace and Globe Motors. Both are defense contractors in the U.S.

You can even use dust marks on the front of the desk to match the wide and close shot of the missile parts.

We can use satellite imagery and Google Earth to match a photo to a location. And indeed, the mountains, the trees, and the damage to the school itself are all a good match for what's seen in the wide shot.

But Iran included this wide shot.

It did that knowing it's audience are journalists like me. Because this shot provides us visual clues about where these parts are located at the time of the photo.

Usually when we see parts of missiles or bombs posted online, we just get closeups of the equipment, like these images from the Ukrainian Government showing part of Russia's Oreshnik ballistic missile.

Yesterday afternoon, Iranian state media published photos of what it says are missile parts from the weapon that struck the school in Minab.

The images are notable not just for the parts they show, but for how they show them.

Let me explain...
