oh yeah I know! actually I would love to work with someone as their asistant, especially if it was colouring and rendering specifically but that's just a dream for now I guess

honetly figuring out layout and how to type in speach bubbles instead of writing everything by hand is my no1 enemy

I mean eventually! I think it's the most fitting and accessible way of storytelling for me
at least in the start I think it's far more achievable than making something like a game for example
and I could always adapt it one way or the other into different media too

hey you! if you get scared of starting a new sketchbook because you're afraid of ruining it try using an old calendar! since it's outdated, you wouldn't use it for its proper purpose anyways so you might as well put it to some good use :)

Closer to fixing those mistakes instead of getting lost at sea so to speak

PLEASE TRY DRAWING ART IS FOR EVERYONE! IT IS HUMAN! And it's a great way to take your time and consciously engage your mind in an activity instead of letting it atrophy from algorithms!
Be patient and kind to yourself :)

Recommend you to look into long form media with thorough explanations so you know what and WHY you're doing things and making certain decisions

You don't have to know everything of course but the more you understand the less frustrated you should become overtime with your ability because you are-

You down just for the sake of putting you down

Find joy and appreciation for drawing without needing outside validation

If you want to learn technical stuff take your time, references are your best friend in the world, especially real life experience
There are many resources to learn and I would-

Hand (or whatever it is that you're using to create) moving

The way to start and keep drawing, in my experience, is to become passionate and curious about something

And don't beat yourself over mistakes, you should wait before posting or showing people unless you know FOR CERTAIN they won't put-

For yourself!
Don't let profit or lack of ability cloud your vision, do it because you like it and do it regularly
It would be best if you used drawing, even mindless doodling as a way to delay dopamine hits instead of scrolling mindlessly

If you're looking for the motivation to start I want you to think about what you enjoy or what you want to see more of in the world specifically

Just find something that you like and you would be looking for it anyways so instead you could create it-

like for example not getting to live till 50 or having the most diabolical confusing soul crushing midlife crisis instead

I like to think of alternative routes my OCs may have taken in life if a seemingly small event didn't take place
and I relish in knowing that they are somewhat doomed in all scenarios but still find solace in other people
