5 observations: Fueled by Alex Bump's successful NHL debut, Flyers take down rival Penguins in shootout - PHLY Sports Alex Bump made his NHL debut, scored a goal, and the Flyers took down the Pittsburgh Penguins in a shootout by a 4-3 final score.

It wasn't the most entertaining game to watch. But the Flyers did defeat the rival Penguins, and they received strong performances from key young players (Alex Bump, Denver Barkey, Matvei Michkov) in the process.
