Watching Bernie Sanders response to 47’s fabrication- filled SOTU on YouTube.
It’s 10 times better than the official one by Melissa Slotkin’s. It’s fiery and outraged and absolutely sets the record straight about all 47’s lies.
Why didn’t we elect this guy when we had the chance?

Good thing to remember on a Sunday morning.
So much work to do, if you have a compassionate heart. But it’s good to take a moment as well.

I’ve always loved this special. I got the loneliness part, even as a kid, which is why it resonated for me so much. The creators, along with Charles Schultz himself, didn’t talk down to kids. That helps to make it timeless.

Meant to say “on Prime.”
Still trying to figure out how to do things on this platform, like edit a post. 🙄

Modern Love Amsterdam: Season 1, Episode 3 | Rotten Tomatoes
Benjamin comes home to celebrate Christmas with his father, Chris, and two older brothers, Alex and Marius; it is the first Christmas without their mother, Lies, who died last spring after an illness.
Perfect #holidaytv fare: Modern Love Amsterdam Prime, especially E3, “Big Questions.”
Family, adult children, coming home for the holidays, inevitable change, and grief. A lovely story, movingly told.

Why You Should Still Care About ‘Bicycle Thieves’ (Published 2020)
On the unforgettable heartbreak and enduring pleasures of an Italian neorealist masterpiece.
Thanks for the recommendation, Jordan!
I started watching post-WW II Italian cinema before a trip to Tuscany in 2022, and became hooked.
Here’s a NYT endorsement of your endorsement. I will definitely check this one out.

Reading it now and am so impressed. Wish I’d read this in my teens or early 20s, but the message still packs a punch.

Wicked, where have you been all my life?
Never saw the stage version, so seeing the film tonight was a revelation.
Loved it all! The characters, the dancing, that incredible soundtrack …
It’s all about power, isn’t it? Who controls it?
Who has a right to it?
Couldn’t be more timely.

That sad but grateful feeling when you just finished a book that moved you to the point of weeping. I might just read it all again because I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters.
This one takes place during Covid, the perfect thing to read while recovering from surgery.

Yes I love everything about that film. The book is even better. Still pretty timely, which is kind of sad. Harper Lee knew what she was doing.

Yes! More and more city officials are investing in lighting that doesn’t pollute the sky view. There is so much beauty up there.

Thanks, Jordan, from a librarian, and a library lover. Get one for your kids, grandkids, encourage your friends and their friends. Attend a program. Go to story hour. Watch a classic film. Say hi to a stuffed dinosaur. Welcome the world into your life.

That’s awesome, Melody! Bravo to the people who made this happen. Best investment you could make, for kids, for everyone.
