I saw my first violet of the year today, on the first day of spring. Immensely grateful to be here for wonderful moments like these.

I drew this with pencil and named her Violet. Hope you like it :)

This has been my only "finished" piece in 3 weeks. I used a nib pen (novelty!), Deleter black 4 ink on a small sketchbook.

I suppose my old friends might say I've changed too much; become too woke, too affected by the world's grief. But if they'd been there when I was a child, and heard my heart, they would know I've been soft all along. I suppose learning to let that child speak is how I'm reconciling with growing up.

I’ve seen an artist do “sponsor a personal artwork”. It was 1/4 of the price of a commission and if you pay it they work on a personal project. I actually love this and wish more artists did it.
