The reason I don’t want a “Christian nation” isn’t because I’m against Christianity.

It’s because I’ve studied church history and learned about the horrors caused by the church crawling into bed with the empire.

The separation of church and state helps keep Christianity Christian.

Items from early space missions are fascinating! I have a series of Cape Canaveral relics embedded in lucite. Most are fragments from the various launch pad gantries, but also this one. A telecommunications cable segment from the Mission Control Center which was torn down. Toured it several times.

They’re packed away, but here’s one that’s similar, tho I don’t think it’s a jelly glass.

We had the Flintstones and others, including a series from NASA’s Mercury space program with diagrams of the astronauts, Redstone rocket, Mercury capsule, rocket trajectory across a map, etc. They were so cool that a few years back I found and bought the set on eBay.
