That and I do think that as the art process of starting off, sometimes you don't fully get the Ins & Outs of everything, meanings, morality, among other things can be complex. You usually start off REALLY scuffed and try to evolve/improve it over time to get to a story that, somewhat makes sense.

The way I see art(including writing) is being inspired/taking inspiration from multiple places and making/doing it your own way. It's what makes internet and art in general, so fascinating in the first place, the batshit insanity sometimes being as interesting as what inspired it/got them there.

Honestly absolutely agreed! As someone who has read/seen a lot of takes, AUs etc of a lot of stuff(like undertale AUs for example), the way I see it is, the canon story is a foundation, not the rule, like yes, you CAN follow it, but there's nothing wrong with experimentation and twisting it around.
