Anby was a character that I felt pretty neutral about in Zenless but I finally played her Sanby story quest and was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. It focused so well on fleshing out her internal conflicts and how that collides with her personal relationships past & present.

The new accessory rewards in Zenless don't really seem to fit the Delicate Sunlight outfit. Can't they add the ability to change accessories to the actual summer skin? This hat would have been lovely for it.

That HSR 3.5 boss theme keeps looping in my brain. You know the one. Why did they make it such an absolute drop down and groove violently bop

I still think she is cute and for those who like her more now that is nice for them! I just also am one who wants variety which sometimes will fall into what I like and sometimes not and I thought she had a bit more of that variety before too. Feels more jarring this time since changes were so late

That's quite fair honestly, we all have our preferences after all. I just wish that something that was already very appealing to me was not changed, like a sort of "if you dislike this, don't pull" attitude rather than making characters more narrowed into specific tastes, if that makes sense

PC is fix so I was able to finally start HSR 3.5 and I'm only halfway through but Cerydra is kind an icon?! YOU'RE KILLING IT GIRL

The more I've played upon my return the more I realize the harsh truth that Genshin is a good game actually & the core gameplay is fun, it just gets held back by a ton of little annoyances that needle at you at every other turn

(Other than perm events that's more than just a "little" annoyance)

I forgot to mention. The new party screen having a pretty background that matches where you are? The way everyone is posed up and the animations when selecting a character? That's lovely. That brings a smile. Good addition

I heard about these choices they are making in writing direction of integrating more of the lore into the main plot and tying up loose ends and it is part of what got me curious about returning admittedly. Hearing that they are having follow-through on things I wondered about for a long time...

My wish applies to HI3's system too, I love that they have a perm event system now but it would still be nice if they kept records of old ones like all the previous captainverse storylines and such. But with Genshin it feels more egregious due to how many events had us meet characters or give lore 💔

Thank you for the recommendation! Anecdotes sound interesting, so there is one precedent at least for an event becoming perm? I'd still hope they could find a way to bring back ones since 1.0... and it would be a lot to record again for EN that is true, but better to bring back as they were than not

It is one of the things I'm most looking forward to: seeing how these aspects of the game have evolved in newer locations. I've listened to some newer Genshin tracks out of context and it really is fantastic stuff, but it'll be wonderful to experience those things within their intended presentation

As for more of my current experience, I'd forgotten how nice and immersive the world itself felt. I've been trying to catch up on Inazuma exploration that I never finished & enjoying it. The environmental design, music, atmosphere... these are areas where I have always respected this game.

Lack of perm event stories is the main thing that turned me off origionally, I've missed out on such a plethora of character interactions & lore and I think with the system of deleting quest data it would be great if they could finally make it happen. I will always advocate and hope for this most!
