The data this project gathers makes strong passwords more compatible with website requirements across the web. It makes it faster to change a password on websites when initiated from a password manager. It helps merge identical entries from different, but related, domains together. [2/3]

The project was made open source by Apple on May 5, 2020, and has since had 274 contributors from across the industry.
