It's quite possible that Musk is heading for a fall. Trump cannot tolerate anyone else getting the limelight. If Musk is booted from the inner circle, it seems likely that his millions/billions will be directed to supporting the extreme right.

The real scandal is that the healthcare system is so dysfunctional that so many people incur unsustainable debts in the first place. Band aids, however well-intentioned, are not going to solve the problem.

I believe that all the revenue raised from taxing social security benefits goes to the trust fund and the taxpayer's marginal tax rate on their total income would determine the amount of tax paid. crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/...
Expectations of future interest rates (and inflation) could be important. This seems to be the case in the United States at the moment, given the policy direction of the new administration.
