The disruption has ended and I can post about it.

Around 2:30 AM, the power went out. This woke me up as I cannot sleep without a fan.

Took a bit over 2 hours to get power back.

At least all my power loss preparation worked. Time to recharge it all now, I guess.

It's another of those nights. I know my roommate was alive at least 16 hours ago, but I haven't seen or heard a thing from him since.

So, I'm sitting here wondering if he's asleep (He's had problems with that again) or if he died at his desk or in bed.

His lights being out leads me to sleep tho.

About five days ago I got some Taco Bell. Two freaking dollars (online order) each and they had minimal meat & cheese.

So today I made my own at home.

It is Taco Tuesday, after all.

Oh, they were so GOOD!

Now, of course, the other half will become taco salad because at least three shells broke.

Ugh. Well, it's Sunday and I got stuff I need to do this week, including a Thanksgiving dinner with the family.

So, it's once again laundry day. Joy. Still, it needs to be done and I truly hate doing it. I'm still not sure why, but the thought of doing laundry just drives me away.

That's why I drink rum and coke. No need for ice and any other delaying tactics that would prevent my consumption of booze.

Also, typing of complex words isn't the greatest of my skills while intoxicated.

So, I'm up FAR later than I wanted to be.

As I was prepping for sleep, apparently my everything decided it was time to update. Computer, Phone, and I wonder if my watch has one pending.

I'm afraid to start up the laptop and tablet just in case. Tomorrow, I think.

I'm tired. I need sleep.

A multimeter will tell you the volts, not the amps.

Does your tester require a trigger pull? Does it actually test cranking amps or is it a specialized meter for voltage?

My RV had an issue with a weak alternator. It wouldn't charge under load and that caused a lot of issues.

Mmm. I bought a cheap jump pack a while ago because I always wanted to be able to boost a battery.

Then I bought a better one because the first one was a piece of junk.

Still, they work enough to let me jump a battery when needed.

Still hate the first one. Shouldn't have got it on clearance.

TBH, when you mentioned that the dash lights went nutz, I wondered about the battery. You sounded so sure it was fine, but I wanted to ask if you jumped/boosted it.

Ok, so I fired up Fallout 4 again because I'm finally over the loss of the tablet link.

Turns out I never actually set it up to run with the high rez textures. Not sure why that didn't auto activate.

So now I get to wait again as the 58 gig downloads.

I hope it'll be worth it. Time will tell.

Well, accurate, at least?

Ugh. I need to go get food and I'd like to get some alcohol.

Problem is, I'm feeling tired and lazy. I could put it off another day as I have enough food for today.

Thing is, I do want a drink. I would like some variety in my food. It's just... I don't want to move. Please send motivation.

It's days like this, where my roommate decides to spend 24 hours in his room that I wonder if he actually died in there.

He didn't, I heard him move and groan about 20 minutes ago, but there was a two hour span where I did wonder.

Don't wanna knock because he said he was awake for 48 hours earlier

Well, that was an interesting last hour. I spent it cleaning my keyboard as it really needed it.

At least 45 minutes of individually cleaning and drying all these keycaps and putting them back into place.

Ah well, it's done and wow, this thing looks almost new.

Should be good for a while now.

I find myself a little disappointed today.

I fired up Fallout 4 to see what all changed with the latest update. Even dug out and set up the tablet to use the pip boy app.

Guess what Bethesda removed in the update.

I always though that the app was the coolest thing. My desire to play has faded.

I am not getting far in Palworld. I'm kinda playing by permadeath rules because wow, dying is a PAIN!

So I restart if I die. Of course, I never really get that far due to the fact it seems really easy to die in Palworld.

However, I've gotten REALLY good at the beginning!

*sigh* It's coming up on seven years since he passed. I never really used the garage remote because the front door was easier.

I kept gas, mechanic and other receipts in there and they buried it so well I just... forgot about it.

I'm ok, but with the holidays... a little more sad than usual.

I've been cleaning out my car while waiting for my roommate at doctors appointments.

Yesterday, I had a bout of sadness as I cleaned out the center console.

Turns out, I had forgotten I had my Dads old garage door opener. I stopped in shock when I uncovered it from all the paperwork in there.

So I noticed my desk fan wasn't really moving much air. Broke out the small blower and a microfiber towel and cleaned it up.

Now it's working too dang good.

Ah well, I'll deal with improved air flow. It's the snow on the ground and the chill in the air that makes it worse.

Woke up to a snow covered outside. Better than a snow covered inside, I guess.

First snowfall that stuck around of the new season. I am not exactly thrilled. Yesterday I had the patio door open for over half the day.

Suppose it's time to dig out my jump pack, just in case.

Ok, that sounds like something I'd imbide. How's it taste?

My productive day was running my roommate to all his doctor appointments, one surprise appointment, then picking up my Amazon delivery.

Once home, I spent over an hour charging all my electronics to full and updating everything.

Now, I'm imbibing alcohol.

Ok, it's now apparent that I have to do things in a certain order. I did another test run and not only did everything work fine, the power bank kept the headset fully charged.

Still not sure WHY it worked, but pleased that it did. I'll play with it more tomorrow as I need to go to bed early.

It's... odd.

My VR headset apparently needs time to shut down and maybe cool off before it'll start charging properly. I have no idea.

The other problem is when I use a power bank to extend run time. It seems to charge both the headset and the power bank, like it's a symbiotic system. Not good.

To be fair, the old case does still work, including the keyboard, but it's VERY old. I've had to replace the upper arms on it twice with 3D printed ones.

The keyboard has a on/off switch and that has drained the 2032 batteries twice.

I think I paid all of 15 bucks for it, so I got my moneys worth

Moved my tablet off my desk to make room for the laptop. Time to get it updated.

When moving the tablet, the case decided it didn't want to stay closed and made it a lot more difficult.

I ordered a new case, one specifically for my tablet. The old one is a cheapo generic anyway, so no loss.

Dang... I just looked it up. @motorcityfurrycon.org 'Holy Growler' was 2018. The glass is still in perfect condition even after years of constant use and hand washing.

The only complaint I have about it is it wasn't finished right. There is a very slight vertical lip on the outside from the mold

Ok, the cleanup of my desk areas continues. I'm nearly done.

I have dug deep enough to strike the unused glassware section. Within I found five years of @fursquared.com con cups.

I have a favorite I use, the @motorcityfurrycon.org cup from the 'Holy Growler' year, but now I need a shelf for cups

Note to self: Unplugged at 2:09 PM. Time to see how the battery holds up.

Headset reads 100 percent now. I'm leaving it on the charger just in case it is calibrating the battery ranges.

I'll probably leave it on for the whole day and see where we are when I wake up tomorrow.

I need to see if there is a power drain in off mode overnight or not.
