Do your image focused social posts, but also specials and links and even a “subscribe to my newsletter” with a site you can link.

I did this for years with Tumblr, it offered free domain mapping.

I don’t think “people who care deeply about identity” are a large enough market. Look at how many Substack users don’t map a domain.

Headless CMS is the category this pattern falls into. Powered the old Fission site this way.

It’s not really an AppView at all if it’s just pulling your own ATProto data.

I mostly answered in previous reply. There’s probably a product here, I’d pair it with both follow & email options for small biz & creators as an IG replacement.

Several people have built mini sites around this.

It won’t come from Bluesky but a personal / linktree / aggregator / small biz app that lets you map a domain and pull your ATProto data.

It could be small & separate or something eg @sprk.so could bake in and pair with their PDS hosting.

Of course, even the label "startup" here is not quite right, as that's the industrialization / product stage.

Innovation policy has to go back to R&D, too, with a mix of speculative long term moonshot and a cycle that goes back and forth with industry.

This is not a “technical issue”. @verdverm.com is correct here including on his statements on how other people will perceive it.

I just checked and @recipe.exchange doesn’t use Bluesky lexicon but does use bsky avatar image. Doesn’t make a profile unless you’ve made at least one recipe.
