500+ organizations have signed on to our letter calling on Congress to refuse more funding for ICE & CBP and demand real accountability.

Congress must leverage its budget negotiations to make clear that the cruelty and lawlessness we have seen is unacceptable, and it must end now.

As the letter notes: "By design, these actions
terrorize and wreak havoc. They tear at the seams of our families, our communities, and our safety. They
poison our democracy and our way of life. This is not the America we deserve, nor the one our laws or
Constitution allow."

Trump is making thousands of rule-abiding immigrants undocumented Inside the largest delegalization campaign in modern US history.

As Trump continues his quest for Venezuela's oil, remember that the president stripped the legal status away from 300,000 Venezuelans in the US last October, launching the largest delegalization campaign in modern US history.

Service members signed up to defend the Constitution, not to police their neighbors.

Trump administration might deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda | CNN Politics Until Friday, it wasn't clear whether officials would let Abrego Garcia's criminal trial conclude before they initiated any removal proceedings.

After making him suffer in an El Salvador torture prison, the Trump administration will stop at nothing to deport Kilmar Ábrego García. They're trying to take him from his family and home to a country he has zero connection to, a punishment for fighting for his rights.

This is unjust and cruel.

- MPD has started to set up traffic checkpoints with federal agencies (like ICE) to stop people
- During the traffic stop they can ask about a person’s immigration status

Important to understand:
- The Trump administration does not care about the law. Even if you do everything right, they can detain you.
- Still, it is important to know your rights, b/c of potential legal recourse after MPD or federal agents violate them

Hundreds of alleged human rights abuses in immigrant detention, report finds Sen. Jon Ossoff's office found "510 credible reports" of abuse against immigration detainees, according to a report first obtained by NBC News.

Forcing a pregnant woman to sleep on the floor, denying a child with a brain tumor treatment β€” these are just some of the damning allegations about ICE detention made in a new report from Senator Ossoff.

This report adds to what we've long known: ICE detention is dangerous and puts lives at risk.

'Big Beautiful' $45B for detention centers could instead finance an estimated 163,600 new affordable apartments through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit.

It could prevent imminent eviction for between 9.8M and 16.6M households.

It could prevent around 59M utility shutoffs.

The budget for ICE (not including all other parts of DHS) is now $55B.

'Big Beautiful' funding for detention centers alone is $45B.

How much for the housing crisis? The entire proposed FY26 HUD budget is $38B.

$0 to prevent evictions. $0 for community dev block grant.

The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary.
