Thank you, thank you!
I reviewed my wardrobe from Me Made May last year and noted that I’ve moved away from cocoon shaped dresses, boxy tops and skinny pants towards waist definition and wide hems. I’ve removed three dresses (and reworked another), one top, and one pair of pants since last year.
#memademay2025 day 2
For the first day of #memademay2025 I wore the same outfit that I wore for day 24 last year, but I retrofitted the top over the weekend with a drawstring. The photo shows how I’ve evolved wearing the outfit over the past year: untucked, tucked, drawstring cinching.
Did a little refashion of a Seamwork Bo this weekend, adding a drawstring across the front to cinch it up.
Wait, there’s a new season??? I assumed the series was over!
This is amazing!
I’ve been meaning to post my February sewing activity for #sewskyChallenge2025 This #soiAndersonBlouse by @sewoveritlondon.bsky.social has been slow going, but the end is in sight, and it is looking very elegant.
This will forever change how I eat baby carrots.
Yeah, I’m also on threadloop (as citysews) and I wonder if that will be my main replacement for instagram.
Call me lazy. I washed and dried on gentle, and the fabric is in perfect s condition. It is very lightweight, with a smooth hand, so I’m not surprised it didn’t felt.
Glad to see you too! I’m trying out different options to see what my social media future will be!
A question for the hive mind: do I dry clean this fabric before sewing with it, or just leave it as is? Other option: hand wash?
Hello to this burgeoning maker community! I’m glad we have found a new home. I wish it was a little more image-forward! I also wish I had remembered sooner not to post my face and attract the “single-father” trolls.
That color combo and matching tights/shoes is 🔥!
Gorgeous!
