More on the Spey viaduct's structure, including dimensions, from @forgottenrelics.bsky.social.
To give an idea of scale, each of the ~32 metre fallen spans is about the same length as our route's steel bridge at Dartmouth Avenue.
www.forgottenrelics.org/bridges/spey...
Garmouth viaduct, a disused rail viaduct at the mouth of the Spey, closed to people on foot and cycle until further notice as two of the shorter steel spans fall into the river along with the pier that supported them.

All good now. Already put aside by unknown strong person and the rest now trimmed back. Love the way the users of this route care for it.
An alert from someone who passed this fallen tree - it has a substantial bit of timber in it and will be cleared. Do tell us about any other obstructions you encounter

Great to see two (less than common) butterflies using the embankment at Tucking Mill. These grassland butterflies will appreciate the work carried out by Sustrans and Bath Two Tunnels volunteers early last month. @twotunnelsbath.bsky.social @savebutterflies.bsky.social @sustrans.bsky.social
Cool in the tunnel and 'Grass snake spring warmth' on emerging.
Even though it's no longer running from the inspection hatch, the tunnel drain is still in a spot of trouble, this one is with @sustrans.bsky.social
