I'm not excited about the Dodgers going back to the World Series (they're getting to be the Yankees of this century), but I did enjoy watching the Brewers getting crushed like little bugs. So at least there's that.

Knee surgery went well. Turns out my meniscus tear was much older than the MRI indicated, so all they could do was cut out the torn tissue, not stitch it up. On the bright side, I'm not on crutches, and my recovery should be quick. I'll just have arthritis sooner rather than later. :/

Yeah, it's odd to be *hoping* to be severely limited for the first six weeks of the semester. Because the surgery is the Thursday of the first week of classes. Because of course it is.

So I wanted to try new experiences the year I turned 50...one of them is going to be knee surgery. 🙃 The pain I've been having since April is a torn meniscus. If they can fix it, I'll be on crutches for 6 months. If they can't, I'll be back on my feet until the inevitable arthritis kicks in...

5. Fave actor: J2. :p

The best thing about this play will always be Anthony Rizzo falling over laughing.

5. Favorite female character. Jody had a great arc from finding out about the supernatural the hard way to becoming a mentor and teacher to others. Grateful no one ever said how she was finally fulfilled once she was a mother. Still can't believe she never got fridged. Also, Sam/Jody is my OTRP.

4. Favorite male character other than the boys. All of the main ones lingered on/came back way after it made sense to the story, but I agree with @quickreaver.bsky.social that early Cas was quite good, so I'll go with him.

3. Favorite season. Definitely Season 2.

2. Favorite episode. For a long time, it was "Lazarus Rising," the first one I ever saw live. During my latest rewatch, I realized that it's "Frontierland." The boys each save the day thanks to what they're best at, hilarity and drama balance well, and Dean gets to indulge his Western fetish.

Growing up (near) here, I thought every big city had architecture this great, but it turns out only a few do!
