As far as I can tell they got married in 2009 and are still together (that last part is a little more hazy), and "Peter Pan" is now in his seventies.

I randomly remembered a website my friends showed me about 25 years ago when I was at university, about a dude who spent his life cosplaying/living as Peter Pan and looking for a "Tinkerbell" to be his girlfriend (interestingly, not Wendy).
