Of all the things an egret could eat, it had to go for a star.

Finally finished this bee-eaters cross stitch! They are beautiful birds, so vibrant and have such pleasant calls 💙💚💛

This fool is constantly freezing (since it's fall now) so i decided to freehand him a little scrap-yarn west 😁

У 2025 році я свідомо докладаю зусиль більше читати українською мовою. Часто це книжки українських авторів, що додатково мене тішить. ☺️
З іншого боку, у мене так багато претензій до якості українських перекладів 😞

Рoppies, a folk-inspired motif. I was playing around with different styles and ended up really liking this one.

Today was a folk fair in the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, and I bought myself a treat - handmade decorative plate with Crimean tatar ornament by Rustem Skybin. It's so beautiful and vibrant 😍

I saw a decorative ceramic vessel in a museum and had this idea to combine a ram motif with traditional Ukrainian stitching. That's how this pattern was made :)
Stitching on a thrifted shirt.
Thank you ☺️
Thank you! I was so happy the greens blend and look good irl too! ☺️
Also, small setting details sometimes slipped, and while the person or the place had a distinctly Ukrainian name, the "feel" was off, uncanny. But I don't think it's too blatant, or too bad. Overall I can recommend the book if you're OK with weird plots 👍
I liked parts with author's own experience much more than fiction, they rung true in a way I can relate to. However, metanarratives of Yeva and Nastia left me confused. If the fictional stories meant to be metaphors, then they missed their mark with me, I didn't enjoy what I thought was hidden there
As a Ukrainian woman who lives in Ukraine, I can certainly say that this book was written not for me, so I won't rate it. Some parts were good, others felt alien and surreal, twisted; I can guess it was made like that on purpose.
I recently heard about "Endling" by Maria Reva and was so interested that I bought and read it in three days.
I have a lot of complicated thoughts, many of which I can't even word properly, but I will try

i really wish my acc was only about art (and stupid jokes) but unfortunately russia still exists
Kyiv was under combined attack for 11 hours tonight i feel like that shahed drones buzzing stuck between my ears
every time i think i've reached the limits of loathing russians prove me wrong
Всі ваші роботи гарні як кольором, так і композицією, то не косяки - то ви ще більше покращили свої навички
Дуже так! Треба церква зеленого борщу.
Being in a meadow full of wildflowers always brings me to my childhood. Peak summer experience 🪻
Panel that represents how I feel 24/7 now. Sad flat bird.
Necessary note: size of the patterns is 100x70 crosses. Aida - 16 ct.
I photographed a wild bird called AJISASHI. This bird has a pattern on its head that resembles human hair, which makes it look interesting. Whenever I photograph this bird, I imagine it looking like a human and smile a little as I take the picture.

Ага, а коли закінчується тривога - Київзеленбуд виходить на війну з травою. Я думала, що хоч зранку досплю - але нє, мужики з мотокосами мають свої плани 😑
Finished "All the Sinners Bleed" by S.A. Cosby. Can't say thriller/mystery stories are my genre, but this one was good. I was engaged with the story and liked narrative style, but I didn't enjoy the final reveal. Also I think adding the character of the ex-girlfriend was unnecessary 4/5 ⭐ #booksky

They look like I walked in on something inappropriate 😁
