And then I showed him some of my (sfw) drawings and he was proud of me?? It's such a novel experience to have a dad that you didn't really talk to for years, suddenly interested, proud and positively surprised...

I basically explained the entire plot of mtmte, G1 AND Skybound to him at once. He now knows the chronological history of Rodimus. (He thinks it's funny that I like him so much).
He loves the art style of the Skybound comics (me too girl), and he REALLY likes the G1 design of Megatron (4/?)
So we did. And he kinda liked it? The days afterwards he kept making jokes about "the bumblebees" (he calls all transformers that). And MAN have I missed having a cringe dad who doesnt understand but indulges my stupid interests???
Today I showed him my comic collection, (3/?)
And a few weeks ago he noticed my bumblebee figure on my table and asked me about it. Mind you, this man has never heard of transformers before (they didnt show it on tv in my country in the 80s). So i started explaining it to him and suggested we could watch tfo. (2/?)
