got my laptop back from being repaired yesterday, had the exact same problems i sent it in for start up again today >.< it wouldn’t suck so much if i hadn’t spent a few hours yesterday re-creating so much of my stream setup that got lost when it first died

i feel so much guilt about “not doing enough” for the people i care about, but nearly everyone i’ve asked to help me has said something similar to already owing me more than the one favor. i don’t like to quantify it like that, but it’s nice hearing it anyway

it sucks to suddenly need help, but i gotta say it has been really uplifting that all the people i’ve helped where i could are willing to show up for me too. i guess all the community building stuff really is basically just making friends

one of the people i do seasonal work with introduced me to this dish specifically but also the concept of putting curry powder in so many different things i never would have thought and she was so correct

she’s not a photogenic meal, but i made butternut squash curry with little chunks of squash in place of a meat and it’s real real good (i love squash so much)

i need an opportunity to do it again, i did the ceremony for all my housemates and it was ✨magical✨. i hope someone takes you up on this offer

these posts are kinda mostly just for me, i miss that little guy and this is helping. we had nearly 20 years together and i know he had a loving owner even before me. that lil gecko lived a long happy life and i hope somewhere in his lil noggin he knew how much i loved him

it probably had some risks that i wasn’t aware of- but to be fair i was like 10, i used to catch wild crickets to feed him if i felt like it had been too long since my parents took me to the pet store.

and once he decided to attack the cactus i had on my desk when i sat him down on it, like charged straight at it and lunged. i spent like 3 hours making sure i got all the tiny needles out of him

one time while i was on hold with some customer service line and holding him he decided to run off and dive behind my bed right at the same moment they answered the phone. i had to try to explain i’d be right back, i just had to catch my lizard

magical end to the cool & fun work season, we got very drunk off free wine and swapped stories way too late into the night. delighted to get to do this and GOD i cannot wait for next year already

yeag, missing a few and one is just Fucked but i don’t fully understand my job’s dental plan and it doesn’t hurt so it’s fine i guess it’s just ugly. very thankful that a nice dental student did some cosmetic fixing to my front teeth and called it a “filling” for insurance
