I love painting kingfishers, and this one was different for me, a ‘small in frame’ one. I love how in the reference image, it was moody but the kingfisher added glorious colour.

Pacific Beach is one of my favorites when I visit San Diego! This captures those sunsets well and makes me want to go back even though I was just there at the beginning of the year!!

I feel like I show up in spurts and sprints 😆 I'll suddenly be liking and reposting and commenting then quiet. My reappearances vary from recent to breaks between but they always seem to come as a waterfall of activity 🤔😁

I can feel the zen from this 💜 Something about sunset by the ocean feels soothing and the sun peeking between the pier feels like a touch of whimsy to it all ☺️

Those colors are popping beautifully already 😍 Such pretty birds, captured beautifully

The intent behind it is beautiful but something about a snail horse has me giggling too 😅 Then again surrealism seems to either make me giggle or feel uncomfortable, which might mean the giggles are nervous giggles? Probably not the only one like that with surrealism 😆

I keep having to remember it's barely the start of month 2 😭 This helps put why it feels like that into perspective. It feels like all the news and scare tactics used about other countries and unsafe places are now just a reality here. Unfortunate part is that this is less exaggeration, more real. 😵‍💫
