Three House Republicans cross party lines to block effort to shield Trump from challenges to his tariffs | CNN Politics Speaker Mike Johnson failed to reinstate a ban on lawmakers’ ability to challenge President Donald Trump’s tariffs when three Republicans crossed party lines to vote with Democrats.

Jeff Crank voted AGAIN yesterday to keep Trump’s tariffs in place. These tariffs function as a tax on Americans. At the same time, new budget projections show theBig Beautiful Bill will add $4.7 trillion to the national debt. That’s not fiscal responsibility.

The country is now seeing what El Paso County residents know to be true: Jeff Crank is failing our community, raising our costs, and neglecting to show up and listen to his constituents. The momentum of our campaign has helped put this district into play, and I know we can flip this seat together.

Where do I start? The president’s post was blatantly racist. He failed to take ownership or apologize. Jeff Crank has also said nothing about it. Leadership and courage are about taking ownership and apologizing when you're wrong. Period. Stop.

We didn’t even need caffeine at our last Coffee with Killin in Northgate. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable, and it was the biggest coffee turnout we have had yet!

While I was on a bit of a “perch” at this last house party, my favorite part about our house parties is the sense of community and hearing from you! Looking forward to hearing more from all of you at our events in the coming months. Join the movement!

This February marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month. It is so critical to come together and honor Black leaders, organizers, and all people who fought for civil rights and racial equality. Let’s take time this month to reflect on and celebrate their contributions to our nation.

As the child of public school educators, I have always been passionate about the need to provide our children and teachers the resources and tools they need to succeed. I enjoyed hearing from education leaders in our community at two separate events this past week.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s been part of this campaign so far. Thanks to the support of so many friends and supporters in El Paso County, our campaign has outraised Jeff Crank again.

Renee Nicole Good was one of us—a Colorado Springs native and a mom of three. We must have a thorough and impartial investigation to ensure accountability and justice in this avoidable tragedy.

El Paso County is a childcare desert. The Trump Admin’s cuts to our childcare program funding is devastating and will increase an already to expensive burden on Colorado families. Our community deserves a representative who will fight back against these cuts.
