Two years ago today, more than 1,200 innocent lives were taken, including 46 Americans, in the Hamas attack on Israel. We remember the victims and keep the remaining hostages and their families in our prayers. We must continue to work towards lasting peace and security for all.

I learned a new word yesterday: neighborhoodification! It was great to hear ways to build a more vibrant downtown Colorado Springs at the annual Downtown Partnerships Breakfast, and later to see how Homeward Pikes Peak is working to reduce homelessness in our community.

Jeff Crank just voted again to protect tariffs that hurt families and businesses here in the Pikes Peak region. Our community deserves better. I’m running to build a stronger economy that serves all Coloradans.

It’s been a difficult and tense week in America. It was good to break bread and celebrate the important work of Food to Power.

I was moved and inspired by the Mt. Carmel Veterans Services Center Patriot Day ceremony earlier today. Our community came together to support the critical work at Mt. Carmel. I want to also thank to the dedicated volunteers who delivered food assistance to 400 military and veteran families today.

I’m honored to have the support of the Voter Protection Project. Safe and secure voting is a critical component of democracy. As a patriot who cares deeply about our country, I am committed to protecting that fundamental right while fighting for Colorado Springs and El Paso County.
