Last night i watched a movie i’ve never seen before. It was called Desperately Seeking Susan and it was about a girl that keeps hitting her head and forgetting who she is. Every time i looked up from my phone, she was hitting her head, maybe 10-15 times. A unique entry in the 80’s Amnesia oeuvre.

It’s because marvel hired artists too cowardly to draw the 2 streaks, but if they would just hire Rogue superfan like me, i wouldn’t falter from the task.

As a Rogue superfan, I get bored with seeing her in the Same. Damn. Two. Outfits. So i did a quick sketch of her as depicted in Uncanny #158. I put this original in my online store. I posted more Rogues on the patreon:

Oh nice, i didn’t know they closed. I’ve already seen the proliferation of synthetic “sable-like” brushes on the market, and some are pretty ok, but yeah i wonder if i’ll ever buy a natural hair ever again for inking. Might have to just live with what i have.

Yeah it’s a good idea to stock up on favorites and must-haves even just because i see things get discontinued all the time or a shortage and out of stock everywhere for 9 months

Good thinking. Some guy just ahead of me at Savers (chain thrift shop) nabbed three cases of envelopes. Pretty jealous and frustrated i didn’t get there 10 seconds earlier because it was a big score for a thrift store like that. Stocking up and hunting for deals and hoarding supplies right now

Hm yeah. I’ve definitely seen the increases this year, and i think there’s still room to increase. Maybe we’ll be paying prices much closer to the higher msrp that we shoppers usually don’t see. Don’t want to freak out, just stock up on favorites and necessities.

Not trying to tell people to go spend money, but, I think prices on art supplies will jump next year,especially the imported things we like. I think vendors are trying to keep prices down for now, but, y’know. Personally i’m going to stock up on a few of my favorite pens and papers.

It’s impossible to say “I’m disappointed in Democrats” because they basically don’t exist. Republicans are evil, but Democrats are just…nothing. Air. Less valuable than air.

The comic book industry has always been stubbornly resilient. Temporary highs, no huge lows. People still love the stories, the creators, the variant covers. That’s Good! But, it’s like the overall economy: 10-15 Writers and their friends who are doing amazing, and then…everybody else doing okayish.

Amazon laying off 20k. UPS…50,000 layoffs. All to just make quarter four profits look “good”. The current stock market high is just 7 companies and AI bullshit. Even CEOs are openly admitting (!) there is a two-tiered (k-shape) economy. Federal Reserve: “yeah ok inflation is bad, but deal with it”
