This month, we highlight our coordinated project Nordic Historical Population Data (NordHistPop), recently funded by NordForsk. We also mark the second year of the @antidote-network.bsky.social training programme.

I’ll admit I was slightly worried that being the Nordic representative might feel a bit cringe, but shouting “Good evening Klosterneuburg, this is Iceland calling!” turned out to be fun, actually.
It will take a little while before everything is ready for release, but this is going to be great.

Five intensive days working through the foundations of encoding medieval texts in TEI-XML are behind us, with focused lectures, hands-on workshops, and thoughtful discussion around editorial practice.
Great to be back for year two of @antidote-network.bsky.social. Tomorrow, I’ll be giving a short 🎆lecture on XML visualization with a little hands-on surprise.
