Astrid Update!
Astrid has been the very best patient! To make her hourly treatments extra nice, she’s been getting a cookie each time we administer her eye medications and now I’m not sure she’s going to be ready to return back to normal once she’s cleared!
Gentle Giants is expanding our adoption radius & considering homes nationwide!
Decisions will be made on a case by case basis and adopters will need to successfully complete our adoption process. We are so excited to be making a change that will allow even more horses to find their forever homes!
Thank you so much! All 19 new horses are settling in very well and we have quite a few characters in the bunch!

The snow is coming down and the farm looks so dreamy right now! Most of the horses are out in their pastures contently grazing, some are watching the snowflakes fall from their covered shelters, and our most vulnerable are tucked away in their cozy stalls.
Happy National Horse Day! Twenty years ago, this day was declared National Horse Day to celebrate and honor the role horses have played in our agricultural, cultural, historical, and economic history. Many of those history-making horses were drafts!
Cody update:
After a day of ups and downs, Cody is finally doing much better! His vitals are normal, and he’s eating, drinking, & pooping! Thank you all for the heartfelt messages - we truly appreciate it!

Cody isn’t feeling so great right now 😔 He has an impaction colic and had to be tubed with fluids and electrolytes.
He could use some good vibes & extra love tonight as he works through his ouchy tummy issues. Thankfully his buddy Cashew is keeping him company ♥️
