Poilievre is getting increasingly deranged. I haven't always likes comparisons between the CPC and MAGA, but their explicitly-stated desires in the past year to politicize judicial appointments and the national police force should deeply disturb us all.

The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope identifies and studies nature’s high energy particle accelerators, black holes. Fermi uses these sources to probe important physical parameters of the galaxy and the universe and uses high-energy gamma-rays to search for fundamentally new phenomena.

What would it look like if a black hole devoured a star from the inside? NASA's Fermi space telescope may have spotted the answer: a 7-hour blaze of gamma rays, unlike anything seen before.

When we explore, we discover amazing things. πŸ§ͺπŸ”

NASA's Europa Clipper launching atop a rocket.

NASA's Europa Clipper launching atop a rocket.

One year ago today, NASA flagship Europa Clipper launched. Today, NASA JPL, which built it, fired another 500 people. (They've lost 25% of workers total.) We're sacrificing scientists and engineers to build concentration camps and gaudy White House ballrooms. NASA is in crisis. America is in crisis.

The story of the sinking is told in Douglas Howe’s book β€œNight of the Caribou.” Newfoundland author Cassie Brown, best known for her book β€œDeath on the Ice,” about the Newfoundland sealing disaster, wrote a short story about it.

My grandfather survived the sinking of the SS Caribou. He was one of the survivors, along with the other two PEI Highlanders officers, aboard the MV Caribou for its maiden voyage. I accompanied him on that 1986 trip.

You don’t see the same scene twice and with the weather been so changeable this adds to how special the Isle of Harris is.

Who do Canadians regard as an β€œenemy”? This comes from a new Angus Reid report on India, but get a look at the redder end of that list

(Red = enemy/threat; pink = maybe so)

What’s truly offensive is that they don’t care. They honestly don’t give a shit about anyone except themselves.

One great aspect of iconic inflatable costumes (aside from how they instantly undermine propaganda about war zones) is that it's useless to arrest the person wearing one. Cuffing a frog would make law enforcement look pathetic. And carting one off just guarantees that more will show up the next day.
