Everyone meet my beautiful fiery boy Hobbes. As a, Rufous, he's a little firecracker. His energy & charm are infectious & entertaining. Depending on angle his gorget is orange, yellow, or gold & green hue edges due to iridescent feathers

Look how happy this lil man is. Always chirping away. Look at that big chest puff, he's so thrilled he gets breakfast fresh every morning. If I hit the snooze, he's there waiting for me on the beam.

This is the 1st view I had from 25 ft away. All that brown, I thought it was a Scaly-breasted munia. 🪶
He is such a cutie. What brilliant blues.
A blue boy for a blue weekend. He showed up chirping in the tree and eventually I got him to come over to me on the porch to sit in the sun for a while and cheer me up. Such a sweetheart. 💙🪶

Some mornings the clouds & snow blowing around diffuse the Sun's light in a way that always makes me think of the Eye of Sauron. So I call these mornings, "Sauron Mornings"

He's our sleepy boy
Fun fact before taking these: He looks very alert in those shots, but in reality it took a while for him to wake up and for most the morning he was actually a very sleepy boy.
