in a world that feels more (dis)connected than ever, where artistry feels devalued by AI slop, I am grateful for circles like Millennium Strike (@millenniumstrike.bsky.social) who, despite it all, continues to celebrate the craft with community compilations, and put on shows around the world!

@millenniumstrike.bsky.social came into my life when I was at my lowest during this music journey. I was involved in the wrong scene, people were lifeless, toxic, and I ultimately gave up on community. MS gave me my only feeling of success and belonging when I felt failure through my entire journey.

met some of my best friends and made some of my favorite memories through millennium strike; next time they're throwing an event (url or irl) make sure u don't miss it, they're something special

it is hard for me to even begin to describe what MS has done for me.
i've sat here for far too long thinking of even how i could describe the impact. but the number of characters isn't nearly enough.
i've found my people, my drive, a community i love.

as a kid, i was somewhat obsessed with the idea of online connectivity and "internet friends", but found it difficult to maintain meaningful relationships on the web.

in 2019, i met many of the people who now make up millennium strike, and these people have fundamentally changed my life,,,

Millennium Strike changed my life. Genuinely. I could not be more blessed to have met such inspiring people that, whenever I interact with, make me feel like I'm home. You guys helped me realize who I am, what the point of this all is, why it's worth doing something for the sake of love.

like yeah bro they will function like any other country and try to only output the things that make them look the best while ignoring all of the faults, hidden infrastructure issues, corruption, etc. but the u.s.of.a. STILL has people out here thinking the red commie wave is our biggest threat
